The warmblood breeeding world is in shock. Today His Highness was euthanased due to an accident.

Foaled in 2000 His Highness was by Hohenstein I & out of States Premium mare Daireen (Donerhall/Feiner Stein).

This horse caught the eye of many at the 2002 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing where he was champion. He was the winner of his 70 day testing in Prussendorf with an overall score was 149.24. Scores included 9 for willingness to work, 10 for character, a 9.25 from his guest rider and a 10 from the training leader for rideability. His dressage score was 155.04. He was purchased by Leatherdale Farms for 515.000 €

Thoughts go out to the Leatherdales & Meyers on their sad loss.

oh my god,
that is terrible, he really was magic (imho)
i think i must curse the owners of these stallions,
first i planned on using furst heinrich, then he died,
and i was planning on his highness for 2008,
maybe i should not plan to use any stallions, just in case....

i was in personal contact with the leatherdales about HH, so my most sincere condonlences for there loss.
does anyone know what kind of accident it was?

How very sad to loose such a beautiful Trakehner x stallion, I have him on video and he really was an exceptional warmblood. My friend in Vic has a foal due in spring by him, bet she is counting her lucky stars now.

i have not asked for louise's permission, but i thought i post this photo she sent me..

dulwich, finances were not going to permit using him this year, so unfortunately, will just have to see what happens with his semen/ and or progeny in 2008.
