G'day all....the jumping bug has bitten...& bitten hard

Jess has just started doing some jumping with her standie Chevy
He is totally un-co & has no idea..but he tries hard
This is there 2nd jumping day..he can jump alot higher
but no sense in pushing him at this early stage,...as he really has
no idea....check out the pace...

I think she's done well for a 14yo girl who has broken this horse to saddle
& done everything with him herself

not bad balldrick - i love the pacing! when he gets stronger there will be less of that and more cantering. nice to see her taking him out and about! he is very pretty isn't he?

thanks Mackie...Chev would jump off a cliff if Jess ask him too...
I am happy that Jess is finding a solid direction...she has been learning
to ride on green & un-educated horses which is has good & bad points..

I reakon by about her 16th or 17th birthday it will be time to buy
that decent horse...for now she is happy with her giveaways...

thanks everyone....both of them are making nice improvements
with each outing....at a recent hunter trial they cam 9th out of 27
having a clear SJ round & just about a perfect x-country..
Needless to say they were the only standie combination
& beat some really well seasoned competitors

Super job Jess!

And he'll prolly jump better over the bigger jumps (once he knows what the game is)
He's only just *popping over* on this height.

thanks everyone.....for sure improv.....he has jumped alot higher & has competed at a higher
height but I told Jess to drop back to the 50cm cause she was having trouble steering him
& basically preparing him for each jump cause he had no idea...& was dropping in & out of the pace..
at the lower height he gets around both SJ course so much smoother, calmer & controlled...& like you said now
he is starting to understand the whole thing Jess can go back to the higher height...

he jumps 80cm quite comfortably
