I think we have Brody's (Bazadais) http://www.thecattle...adaise/overview first calf. From Diamond who is the first cow who calved last year.

A front piccie

and of course the all important behind pic, which should change by 3 weeks of age, when the extra muscling comes in.

and another one with Mum!!!

There are a few more at the top of http://s16.photobuck...Farm/?start=all

Diamond is a Gelbvieh. http://www.thecattle...lbvieh/overview

Yes and a darker head and the Bazadais are supposed to throw wheaten coloured calves.

Diamond Chip was born on the 19th June 2008 according to this. http://www.ozhorsefo...amp;#entry92030 I think he was by Rancher.

LOL sassyk if you thought Break Up was cute in that photo you will love her in this one.

When we usually feed out the cattle in the morning, you have the pushy ones at the front and those who are not so pushy or don't want to be near you at the back.

However, today we fed out round bales. Which is a different place so now those at the back are at the front. I took one look and RAN for my camera. I only had until Hubby picked up a round bale and went there and the moment would be gone.

Lungs bursting from breathing in cold air. Throat not happy with it either.

But it was worth it!!!

Only a few minutes old, so its colour will probably lighten when it dries.

Mum - Rio. Breed - Euro.

Another calf this morning.

Jackie is a droughtmaster and this is not her first calf for us. She looks very tucked up. I will keep an eye on her to make sure she is eating and drinking.

Don't ask me where the white on the calf has come from!!!

Very early so the camera was not happy with the lack of light.

Another Calf this morning. From one of the Brahman's we bought. No piccie yet. She wouldn't come close and when we fed out she turned around and went the other way, so no use running for my camera!!

I managed to get piccies of the 2 new calves this morning. I still don't know if they are girls or boys.

Jackie with her calf.

and one of our Brahmans with her calf. You can still see her ribs, but she has picked up a lot since we bought her.

Jappy has been weaned now. There are two that look very similar. I will pick Jappy as the one who always comes over to see what I am doing. Like when I am getting the hyacinth out of the lagoon. He comes closer than all the other calves. Little bugger better not push me in!!!

A NEW CALF. A NEW CALF. A NEW CALF.

Ridge is the mum. Ridge was the daughter of Sam and Sam hubby sent to the abattoir by mistake.

I will call the little one Sam. I think she is a girl.
